Warrick Lane Precinct Redevelopment

Blacktown, NSW

Four-level underground car park for around 485 vehicles, with a rooftop park and two flanking buildings.

4Underground levels
~485Car spaces
3Storeys either side

A four-level underground car park for around 485 vehicles beneath a new central park, with three-storey buildings flanking the car park on its eastern and western sides. The park sits directly on the car-park roof slab, so the structure had to carry landscaping, public open space and the buildings either side while keeping the levels below clear and efficient.

The structure was designed from concept stage through to tender, and the role continued through construction as principal structural engineer and peer reviewer for the client. That included checking the works against the specification and standards, resolving engineering issues as they arose on site, and managing variations, extensions of time and billing across the job.
